Typografische
Font End User License Agreement
(EULA)

Please read this document carefully and retain a copy for future reference.

This End User License Agreement (hereafter “Agreement”) is a legally binding contract between you, the licensee (hereafter “You”), and Typografische (hereafter “We,” “Us,” or “Typografische”), the licensor. By purchasing, downloading, or otherwise accessing the digital typeface software and the designs embodied therein (hereafter “Font” or “Fonts”), You acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.

Grant of License

By purchasing a license to the Fonts, Typografische grants You a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Fonts in accordance with the terms outlined in this Agreement. Ownership of the Fonts remains with Typografische, and no ownership rights are transferred as part of this Agreement.

Usage Restrictions

You may not modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise alter or copy the Fonts, except as expressly permitted by this Agreement.

You may acquire a license on behalf of an end user client, provided that the client agrees to and is bound by the terms of this Agreement. The Fonts cannot be used by both You and the client under a single license; additional licenses must be purchased for such usage.

Rights Reserved

All rights, title, and interest in the Fonts remain the exclusive property of Typografische. All rights not explicitly granted in this Agreement are reserved. You may not sell, lease, sublicense, assign, or transfer the Fonts or any associated rights under this Agreement without prior written consent.

Definitions

“Application” refers to any standalone software application compatible with operating system platforms such as macOS, iOS, Windows, and Android, provided the platforms support the font file formats provided by Typografische. Typografische does not guarantee technical support for platforms outside of these.

“Embed/Embedding” refers to using the Fonts in applications to style static or dynamic text. Embedding the Fonts is permitted only as explicitly stated in the license agreement. Embedding directly into physical devices or allowing third-party access to the Fonts through such devices is strictly prohibited.

“Your Organization” refers to the entity for which You, as an individual, work, including all internal employees and locations of business. Contractors, freelancers, and other third parties are not considered part of Your Organization unless explicitly authorized under this Agreement.

Termination

This Agreement is effective until terminated. Typografische reserves the right to terminate this Agreement immediately if You violate any of its terms. Upon termination, You must delete all copies of the Fonts and cease all use of them.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Fonts are provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. Typografische shall not be held liable for any damages, including but not limited to lost profits or data, arising from the use or inability to use the Fonts.

Desktop license

Desktop License and Pricing

By purchasing a Desktop License, you are granted a perpetual, non-transferable, worldwide license to install and use the Fonts on a specified number of devices within your organization. The license allows installation on the exact number of devices for which you have purchased rights. Transferring Font files between devices or installing them on additional devices outside the licensed number is strictly prohibited. You may, however, maintain one archival copy of the Fonts under your exclusive control. Sharing the Fonts with third parties is not allowed, except when providing them to a print vendor or service bureau as part of a production process, where necessary.

Embedding the Fonts into secure, read-only formats such as PDF, EPS, or PS is permitted as long as the document itself is not a commercial product. Embedding Fonts into editable formats or using them in commercial products requires an upgraded license. For more information on embedding restrictions or license upgrades, please contact us.

The cost of the Desktop License is based on the number of devices you wish to install the Fonts on.

Logo and Social Media Usage

If you intend to use the Fonts in a logo or across social media platforms, additional licensing may be required. Specifically:

An extended Desktop License is needed if your organization’s annual revenue exceeds €5 million and the Fonts are used in your branding or logo.

For social media use, if the combined followers across platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) exceed 50,000, a customized license is required.

Please contact us directly to discuss extended licensing options tailored to your specific needs.

Modifications and Restrictions

While you may convert text into outlines for graphic purposes, you are not permitted to modify or convert the Fonts into any format not provided by Typografische. Additionally, altering the Fonts using font creation or manipulation tools, or reverse engineering them to create derivative works, is strictly prohibited. The integrity of the Font designs and their underlying code must be maintained as originally provided.

Web license

Web License and Pricing

When purchasing a Web License, you acquire a perpetual, non-transferable, worldwide license to use the Fonts on websites owned and operated by you or your organization. The Fonts must be hosted on a secure server or content delivery network (CDN) under your or your organization’s sole administrative control (excluding the server owner). Each license is limited to one registered domain, identified during the purchase process.

The monthly visitor limit for all websites utilizing the Fonts on the registered domain must not exceed the threshold specified in your license. If the number of visitors increases beyond the licensed amount, an upgraded license will be required to accommodate the additional traffic.

You are permitted to use the CSS @font-face method to embed the Fonts for live text display on your website. However, embedding Fonts in other formats or for purposes such as creating raster or vector images is strictly prohibited.

The cost of the Web License is determined by the number of unique monthly visitors your website receives.

Visitor Monitoring and Compliance

It is your responsibility to monitor and document your website traffic using a recognized analytics tool (e.g., Google Analytics). Should your monthly visitor count exceed the limit defined in your license, you must promptly upgrade your license to cover the additional usage.

Upon written request, you may be required to provide screenshots or reports from your analytics tool to verify that the visitor count complies with the terms of your license. This information must be provided without delay.

Modifications and Restrictions

Modifying the Fonts under this license is not permitted. This includes altering, reverse engineering, or converting the Fonts into formats other than those provided by Typografische.

For additional details or to inquire about a license upgrade, please contact us directly. We are committed to supporting your web development projects and ensuring compliance with licensing terms.

App license

App License and Pricing

When purchasing an App License, you are granted a non-transferable, perpetual license to use the Fonts for styling live text within applications developed and owned by you or your organization. Each App License is specific to the applications registered during the purchase and cannot be used for any other project or transferred to third parties without prior written consent from Typografische.

The Fonts may only be embedded in the registered applications and must not be embedded into any other format or environment outside the scope of this license. Prohibited uses include embedding Fonts via CSS @font-face, creating virtual terminals, or embedding Fonts into computer files (e.g., PDFs, EPS, PS). Additionally, the Fonts may not be used to generate or save raster or vector images within the applications.

The App License is priced based on the number of app titles and the duration of usage. If an app is distributed across multiple platforms (e.g., iOS, Android, Windows), each version is treated as a distinct app and requires a separate license.

Modifications and Restrictions

Under this license, you are not permitted to modify, reverse engineer, or convert the Fonts into other formats. The integrity of the Fonts as supplied by Typografische must be maintained at all times.

For license upgrades or further inquiries, please contact us directly. We are committed to providing flexible licensing solutions tailored to your application needs.

Trial fonts license and pricing

By purchasing a Trial Fonts License, you are granted a limited, non-commercial license to use a subset of the Fonts (referred to as "Trial Fonts") exclusively for internal evaluation purposes within your organization. The Trial Fonts may be used to create test visualizations and mockups to assess their suitability for your projects but must not be utilized in production, distributed, or resold.

You are permitted to showcase the Trial Fonts in print, on websites, or within mobile applications to present concepts to your clients or stakeholders. The license allows installation of the Trial Fonts on an unlimited number of devices within your organization strictly for evaluation purposes. However, the Trial Fonts may not be used for any commercial purposes or projects intended for publication.

The Trial Fonts License is provided free of charge.

Commercial Use

Should you wish to use the full version of the Fonts for commercial purposes, a separate commercial license must be purchased. Please contact Typografische to acquire an appropriate license tailored to your needs.

Modifications and Restrictions

While you may create outline artwork using the Trial Fonts, modifying, reverse-engineering, or converting the Fonts into other formats is strictly prohibited. Any attempt to use font creation or manipulation software to derive substitute versions or alter the Trial Fonts is not allowed.

Using our fonts

What font formats are available?

The fonts are provided in different formats depending on the type of license you choose. Desktop fonts come as OTF files, and TTF files are available on request. For web use, we offer TTF, WOFF, and WOFF2 formats. App licenses provide OTF files, with TTF available upon request.

Can I alter or customize the fonts?

Modifications to the font files themselves are not permitted. However, you are free to outline the fonts in your design software for applications like logos. If you need more advanced customizations, we offer solutions that suit both small businesses and large organizations.

Can I transfer my license to my client?

Licenses are assigned to your organization and cannot be shared with clients. If your client needs to use the fonts for their own purposes, they must purchase their own license.

How do I use web fonts on my site?

Implementing web fonts is straightforward. Our Web Fonts Guide provides detailed steps, requiring basic knowledge of CSS and HTML. It also includes tips to ensure optimal performance across websites.

Are OpenType features supported in all applications?

Most design applications support OpenType features, but some programs like PowerPoint, Excel, and AutoCAD may not. If you're unsure about compatibility, reach out to us for clarification.

I’m having issues with the fonts, what should I do?

We understand that issues can arise. Start by following our guide on clearing your font cache. If the problem persists, don’t hesitate to contact us, and we’ll resolve it as soon as possible.
